Eicosanoids are hormone-like substances that the body produces from Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs or essential fatty acids are essential because the body cannot make them on its own; they must come from the diet). What do Eicosanoids do?

This is the important part!
Omega-6 Essential Fatty Acids produce eicosanoids that are very much more aggressive than the ones produced from Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids. So…..If the diet is unbalanced in favor of Omega-6 Essential Fatty Acids, as is the case of Americas, disease symptoms like inflammation, clotting, etc. will dominate the health scene. 97% of Americans are deficient in Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids. Thus diseases such as arthritis, heart disease and cancer, along with a host of other, dominate our society. This is the reason that a group of international researchers and professionals doing research on Essential Fatty Acids has issued some dietary guidelines concerning the same. An important side note.
NSAIDS, like virtually all drugs also create SIDE EFFECTS, the likes of which may be too well known to some of us and our loved ones. That well-known condition is cardio-vascular disease. We told you in the previously that you could block Omega-6 eicosanoid production just by eating OMEGASENTIALS™ everyday.
